Craig and I have been really good friends for a couple years now, and our friendship started back when I first did pictures for his band The Drive Back. He then offered to build me my first website, which of course is long gone now ;]

Craig just picked up a new 50d a couple months ago and asked if I could teach him a thing or two so we made an afternoon of it. We went to a local gravel pit with some props and had an awesome time, and Craig was super stoked on what he learned. If you want to hear just how awesome his voice and music is, here's a new track from there full length due out this fall:

It's been cold weather here in Minneapolis lately, and I've been spending the last few days finishing editing and looking for a new car.

Awesome day and super stoked for the coming weeks, look for another blog post in the coming days!

Brian Nagan has been a friend of mine for a few years now, we had lunch the other day to catch up before he left for Atlanta to record a new album with his band Four Letter Lie.

I've been finding it more and more important to be shooting for myself lately and have been doing so at least once a week. It not only helps to develop creativity and vision for what you are shooting, but also allows you to work on craft, direction, and style. Because you are not working under pressure, it relieves the boundaries associated with an assignment and gives you free reign to push yourself and experiment.

I've been keeping busy and am really excited for things that are lined up for the next half year. I'm in the process of getting my new website up and filling it with more content, but feel free to check it out for the time being. It has an awesome contact form you can fill out if you have questions or comments.

Happy 4th everyone.

I spent the last weekend in Chicago with my friend Spencer Combs shooting a wedding. This is a video from our day off! I know it's super nerdy and might not make the most sense, but we had a blast and loved how the video explained our day perfectly. Here's also a couple images from the wedding that weekend:

If you had to think of the most fun people to hangout with, Spencer and Alex would certainly be included in your list. Spencer has been a good friend of mine for about a year, and he also an amazingly awesome wedding photographer, check out his work: spencer-combs.com

He came to me asking for something fun and original, something that could not only showcase how much of a good time they have together, but also depict their love and sincerity with each other.

This shoot was a blast and I'm stoked to be shooting their Day After shoot in San Diego in October. It's going to be a blast!

No but really. I REALLY love your style. Where has this amazing group of talent (in you and Spencer) come from and where have you been all my photography life? FOR REALS.
