Ben plays keys in the band Sing It Loud. After shooting with the boys a couple weeks ago, Ben asked if I would do some shots of him alone. A few days later we got together and did these in about 30 minutes and had so much fun. It's great to have the guys back in town, especially since they're home for the next month and are gone for about 9 months out of the year.

I thought that green wall looked familiar. I work at Donny Dirk's, interesting area to walk to your car alone at night. haha.

Here are a couple portrait out takes from my recent shoot with Sing It Loud. These boys have been good friends of mine for many years, and I was stoked to hear when they got back from touring the country with Warped Tour that they were looking to do another shoot. These are just some fun portraits of a couple of the guys, and as you can see, they are some pretty cool dudes.

Sing It Loud is signed to Epitaph Records and put out their first full length album last year. Since then they have been touring heavily in the US and UK, so it was great to have them home again to hangout and work together again. They are currently in the process of writing a new album that should hopefully be out early next year.

Listen to some of their music: here

I can't wait to show more from this shoot, but as always those will come soon enough along with a million other things I've been working on over the past month. I have officially moved into a new place in Minneapolis as well and it's such an awesome space. It's great when you instantly feel comfortable and productive in a new environment, and I'm stoked to say I sure am!

I have also begun a new semester with my architecture studio, so wish me luck in what is sure to be some intensely long hour nights and weekends.

Now I don't often advertise or showcase my senior shoots, but my session with Kaitlyn went so well and had such a variety that I thought I'd share. Kaitlyn is a dancer and chock full of energy, and we ended up doing one other session for her dance images which I'll post soon. I'm pumped about all the senior sessions I've shot so far this month, so if you're interested, feel free to email me for info: ch@collin-hughes.com

I'll be gone until Aug 30th on a whitewater rafting trip with my family, so you may or may nor hear from me until then, but if I get a chance from the hotel we're staying at for the night, I'll try and blog a couple more shoots from July/August.

Dan and Anna were sooooo awesome, the two are such a fun couple and couldn't be more perfect for each other. Dan just moved to the Twin Cities area in the past few months and Anna has lived here her entire life. Both of them are so relaxed and were open to just about anything for their pictures, including incorporating Dan's souped up VW Jetta, which the couple has spent much of their time together in traveling around the country exploring and shooting weddings together. Check them out: http://danoksnevadphotography.com/

I'm super pumped to be shooting their wedding in January and even more thrilled to get to know that we shared an enormous pizza from the infamous Cossetta's in downtown St. Paul.

I've been shooting so much in the past week, and I'm super pumped to blog it all. I've got about 8 shoots to finish and 6 more on the way before I leave for some whitewater rafting in a couple weeks with my family. So stoked!

**UPDATED gallery with more from our shoot together!
