It's amazing (and also unexpected) sometimes how effortlessly word and media travel these days with the help of the internet and social networking sites including twitter and facebook. When I shot Cavalier Essentials a few months ago I had no idea what it would lead to, and in fact, I wasn't expecting much either. All I knew was that I was ecstatic to work with a talented friend on a project and create the coolest outcome we could.
A few months later, through mostly word of mouth and Cavalier features in so many different places, response to or work has been overwhelming at times. Each week brings someone new asking us about it, and for that, Taylor Pemberton and I couldn't be more thankful and humbled. The project was featured on the Urban Outfitters blog a few weeks ago and also in the most recent issue of Nylon Guys.
Without the help of friends and powerful online tools, a completely self-produced and funded project wouldn't be what it is today.
