Clara is one of my younger sisters and is already almost taller than me. I might be on the shorter side, I'm still way more cool than her...maybe. She got her braces off a few weeks ago, so she was pretty stoked to show her pearly whites.

My trip to San Diego for Spencer and Alex's Wedding was awesome. I've already edited through much of our day after shoot, which I shot together with my friend and videographer Matt Brue. We shot around Mission Beach and the La Jolla area and it was very new experience since it was my first time actually shooting simultaneously with another creative. It was a blast and a great learning experience, and I highly recommend doing it as it will push your creative directing abilities and help you understand how to shoot better.

The images above are from The Salk Institute, one of my favorite buildings designed by one of my favorite architects, Louis Kahn. The institute always ranks at the top for research in the US in the Biological Sciences every year, especially in neuroscience and gentics.Although it was closed to the public on the weekend, I was still able to walk around and through some of the better parts of the site. I highly recommend (especially if you're an architecture buff like me) search the internet for more images and articles on the building. Here is the Salk's official site, which talks about the importance of the building and it's function.

Leah is an aspiring actress who has moved to LA looking to pursue her dream of acting, these are some of the shots I took for her portfolio. It is a shoot like this make me shake my head at the fact that I live in Minnesota, not for the fact that everyone else in US considers us the capital of farmland and blizzards, but seriously for the unpredictable weather when seasons are changing. During the course of this one hour shoot, the weather managed to go from snowing heavily, to partially raining, to sunny, to cloudy, all while maintaining a balmy 37 degree temperature. Leah was a trooper and hung in there with me, and it was great to get to work together.
