I traveled to Istanbul and the far eastern part of Turkey last month with my good friend Nick (my friend Gee from Brussels was with us for part of it as well) and have some incredible stories from it to share. Too bad they're much harder and lengthier to explain over the internet and there are way too many photos than could possibly be shown in one post. To be honest, I ended up choosing about 40 images from the entire trip (a process that was as painful as it was time consuming) to at least introduce the underlying stories, but not sure if I nailed the goal of being "selective".

You be the judge, hopefully this gives at least some notion of how incredible and unique a trip it was.

My second test shoot for JOY Models Istanbul was with Anastasia. She was recently in a couple editorials which ran in Harper's BAZAAR Istanbul as well as Vogue, and she's only 16. Her eastern-euro look coupled with some Americana styling was fun to play with, and we had a great time shooting in the evening sun.

While I was in Istanbul a last week I had the opportunity to connect with JOY Model Management and shoot a few tests with their talent. Really enjoyed shooting with Aurel, who happens to be from Stuttgart, the city in Germany that I spent a couple months in during high school. Had a blast getting to know him, he is such a solid guy to work with.

These two are getting married today, and I'm so excited for them. Pete's a young British lad from outside London and Jordyn is a suburban girl living out her dreams in New York. While I was in NYC for a few weeks last month, we took an afternoon in the city and had some fun.
